We are Alpine enthusiasts. Our reverence for the mountains around us means that everyone who works at Slow has a strong commitment to protecting them.

Clearly as a holiday company with many guests who travel by plane, this represents something of a tension. In a sense our very existence doesn't help; there's no perfect holiday company. We get that. But we believe we can make a small difference by providing a more environmentally responsible option for those who do visit the region.

First up, we try and give something back. Our accountant might not like it, but we think it's important to pay an annual Earth Tax, whilst closer to home we're planting our very own Slow Forest here in the heart of the Alps.

The way we can make the most difference though is through conducting our annual environmental audit. That way we can understand where we can minimize the impact of all our activities. And then we act upon it through things like off-setting the travel emissions of our guests. We're not perfect, but we will always be thinking about how we can do things better.

Finally, there is the influence we can have on others. So we make a plea to those who stay with us and those we work with.
