// Promoting environmental awareness and culture appreciation.
Slow is not so much a particular tempo to your holiday as it is a mindset.
When we travel, we want experience. What good is going away if you don't
come back with tales of inspiration?
We encourage you to connect to the mountain environment that you find
yourself surrounded by, and to take pleasure from the cultural traditions
that are contained within them. For us, the Slow spirit is anything that
helps you feel closer to Morzine and this unique region, which we believe
will help you enjoy a more rewarding stay.
Slow's Guide to Alpinism
- 1. See the things around you. Every photograph we use has been taken within
a 10km radius of our chalets. The outstanding natural environment, rich culture
and escapism are as far as we think you need to go.
- 2. Live like a local. Surround yourself with genuine experiences; get your
saucisson from Chez Dominique, enjoy a Chocolat Chaud in the Tyrolia every morning,
perhaps even pick up the Dauphine newspaper. All will help you feel more connected
to the region around you.
- 3. Change your pace. Leave the hurry virus at home. Don't race through your
stay, but experience fewer things in more depth.
- 4. Mix it up. If you're an ardent skier, strap on the snowshoes for a day.
You'll see the mountains around you in a new light. Swim in the lake, visit that
Alpage and always choose the Plat du Jour.
- 5. Visit out of season. Be inspired by the vivid Autumn colours. Or luxuriate in
the cleansing freshness of Spring. And above all, enjoy having the mountains to
yourself.
Throughout your stay, your Mountain Man consultant will be on hand with any number
of ways you can immerse yourself into Alpine life... from November walks off the
beaten track, to the best place to buy Abondonce cheese.
