Layout

Recently built and designed by local architect Hervé Marullaz, Chalet de la Manche provides an inspiring living environment that makes the very best of its blinding location. The main living space is defined by the huge windows that draw the towering Angalon mountain into the room. Double height ceilings and an open-plan kitchen create a further sense of space, whilst the cozy snug that looks down upon it provides a more intimate spot from which to curl up with a book.

The chalet has two bedrooms on each floor, making it ideal for two families sharing (or perhaps just a floor for the grandparents). Upstairs the two double bedrooms both share a well-equipped bathroom. The first enjoys its own sitting area, as well as two balconies that begin to creep into the surrounding forest. In the bedroom next door, the balcony takes you out onto a decked area enjoying an imposing view of both Angalon and Nyon, whilst the room itself benefits from a double height ceiling stretching up to the roof.

Head down the winding staircase and you’ll find a further two bedrooms. The first double room is a vast space, complete with its own reading area and French windows that open out onto the outdoor area. The second bedroom is a twin room which also enjoys French windows to the outside. The downstairs is completed by a further bathroom and a spacious boot-room with access to the parking spaces outside.

Chalet de la Manche sleeps eight comfortably, although a further two beds can be added to the bedrooms for extra children if required.
